CM inaugurates Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital at Keonjhar

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Dharanidhar Medical College and Hospital in Keonjhar today.

The state-of-the-art medical college hospital built at a cost of Rs 381 crore, will benefit the people of Keonjhar and nearby districts with its advanced healthcare facilities. Dharanidhar Medical college and Hospital was completed under the 5T initiatives of the state government. The hospital was spread over 44 acres land with 100 MBBS seats and 22 teaching departments.

Meanwhile, CM also inaugurated and laid foundation stones of 259 developmental projects in Keonjhar worth Rs 4,700 crore today.  He distributed interest free loans to 14,372 SHG groups to the tune of Rs 378 crore and this will benefit about 1,58,655 SHG members of the district.

“I am pleased to inaugurate Dharanidhar Medical College & Hospital, Keonjhar. It is the 10th medical college in Odisha. I hope that it will provide qualitative healthcare to the people in the district. Cancer care facility & nursing college will be started soon”.
