Key Highlights of the visit of PM Modi on January 15

Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi will visit Odisha on 15 January 2019. During his visit, he will likely to inaugurate number of projects.

  • Inaugurate 15-km Balangir-Bichhupali section of Khurda-Balangir new rail line project with flagging off a new train on the route
  • Inaugurate electrification of Jharsuguda-Vizinagaram and Sambalpur-Angul rail lines (entailing Rs.1,085 crore)
  • Doubling of Barpali-Dungaripali and Balangir-Deogaon rail line (built at Rs.189.3 crore)
  • Dedicate the Multi Modal Logistic park at Jharsuguda to the nation. The project spread over 28.3 acres, entailing investment of Rs.100 crore
  • Dedicate rail bridge over river Nagavali between Theruvali-Singapur Road station
  • He will also inaugurate renovation and restoration of temples at Boudh viz. Nilamadhav and Siddheswar Temple in Gandhaharadi, RanipurJharial group of monuments in Balangir, Paschim Somnath group of temples in Boudh
  • Will inaugurate renovation and restoration works at Asurgarh Fort in Kalahandi
  • Inaugurate Post Office Passport Sewa Kendras at Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara Puri, Phulbani, Bargarh and Balangir
  • Will lay foundation of permanent building at Kendriya Vidyalaya at Sonepur (Cost Rs.15.81 crore)
